Editing in Windows Application?

A

Hello.

I am using Todoist Premium on several Android devices, very good application.

Now I installed your application on a Notebook with Windows 8.1 64bit. The problema is:
When I want to add a note I only can edit one line as son as I hit the enter button todoist closes the edition of the note and it shows up among the others just with one line. The same problema for editing old notes, I only can edit the lines already created on the Android devices, cannot add a new line in Windows.

Hope you can help me.

Greetings from Spain

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue. Enter does not submit the changes to notes of a task (only Ctrl+Enter does) and you can edit old notes and add new ones with as many line breaks as you want.

Best regards,
David

Thank you for your quick response. The problem still exists. I tried although to open todoist in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome on this HP notebook with Windows 8.1 64 bit and I get the same problem, as soon as I hit enter to open a new line it terminates the task.
Any idea to solve the problem? Might be I have to change something in Windows. Windows 8.1 is pretty new to me, jumped on it from Vista last week and still installing programs and learning.
By the way on my old notebook with Vista and although with Linux Todoist worked as well as on my Android devices.
Yours Kindly

Andreas

Andreas,

Please clarify - are you referring to tasks or notes? In your first report you were talking about editing notes, now you've mentioned "it terminates the task".

If you are referring to tasks, then that's the expected behavior. You can't add multiple lines of text within a task. If the task requires a description please use notes. Then can be accessed by hovering over a task and clicking on the note icon. You can add as much text as you want into notes and break lines within notes.

Best regards,
David
