Comments not syncing - todoist next

So testing the new next functionality sharing, delegating a task. On the web version through Chrome I now have 5 comments, on the iPhone 3 (different account). Comments added from the iPhone account are shared, those added through Chrome based account aren't. Surely comments list should be identical. Can't trust this until this works - hopefully not a complete fail.

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your report. Please try to log out and back in on each platform/account and/or delete the iOS apps and reinstall them and let us know if the issue persists.

If it does, please tell me - did the person/account that was invited to the project have a Todoist account already or was the Todoist account created from the invitation? If it was created from the invitation - what platform was used to create it?

One more thing you could try to confirm if it helps - leave the invited project and invite the account again.

Best regards,
David

So - this seems to have sorted itself out.

But - I now have an overdue task showing in Internet Explorer that refused to show eithertin the 'today', 'next 10 days' or even in the project that the task is attached to in the iPhone app.

This is flaky - I can't trust it. Pity as it suits my needs, but need No. 1 is that it actually syncs as advertised.

PS - telling people to log in/out or uninstall/reinstall the app reminds me about a joke we have in the UK about three engineers in the UK stuck in a broken down car. The punchline involves the computer engineers solution of getting out and back into the car to see if that will make it start. Reminds me somewhat of the approach at Todoist.

Please advise how I get a refund for my premium account.

Mark,

I'm sorry to hear that and I apologize if my response reminded you of this. Considering that all our apps use offline caching, logging out and in or reinstalling it is something that, if confirmed to work, can greatly help us to identify this issue as then we'll know that it's caching related and can search in certain aspects of the code responsible for this.

I can also assure you that syncing has been very reliable in Todoist ever since we've introduced it, and we're also frustrated to see such issues occur after the recent implementation and we're doing what we can to make it 100% reliable as it always was.

We wish you could confirm if clearing the cache or a reinstall has affected it which would point us into the correct direction. Nonetheless, if you wish to receive a refund, please send us the order reference ID of your purchase.

Best regards,
David
