Tasks lost after project "un-shared"

I had a project that I "shared" with no-one, so I un-shared the project and lost all the tasks. Is there a way to restore these tasks? I have looked at restoring a backup but the backup will not down load.

Hope that makes sense.

Your guys are good! I was able to download the backup file through the web app (not Windows app) and import the project. All Outlook
links intact. Very impressive.
But just a warning to others, if you unshare a project (even your own) you lose all tasks in that project.

Hello Peter,

We're glad to hear that you've found your data, however, we'd really like to identify and fix this issue and so far we can't reproduce it.

What do you mean with - you've shared a project with no-one? I've tried to leave the email field blank and try to share a project with no one this way, but it just shows a warning message "Email isn't valid". Could you please let us know step-by-step how and on which platform/browser did you do this?

Best regards,
David

Hi David

I have been trying to replicate what I did, but cannot. I think what happened is I sent an invite to myself to share a project. I then did not want the project to show as shared and somehow managed to remove myself from the shared project which resulted in all tasks being removed and the project folder being relocated to the bottom of the project list empty. I was using the Windows app. But all good thanks. Peter

I have the similar issues with tasks that are shared. I have task move from project to project. Moving tasks sometimes will loose title and appear as a blank task.

Also the functionality of the indenting of tasks are not populating to the shared users. I can understand that this is by design. However I like the way how it works with Google docs.

It seems to be a behavior that is not happening all the time, but from time to time happens.

Hello Janwillem,

Please tell me, can you reliably reproduce this issue in a brand new project? We've been indeed experiencing this kind of issues and we've fixed them, but unfortunately, in some cases it's necessary to create a new project and share it as the fix may not affect some existing projects.

Best regards,
David
