Errors occuring when send and email to Todoist

HH

Hi, Thanks for the quick response on the indenting for tasks. I also now see it when I click on the task and hover my mouse on the bottom right (of the task) and see the indention arrows.

I have another issue popping up. When I send an email to Todoist from my lotus notes, I am getting two different types of error messages (see below - please go to the bottom of this entry). The email still gets to my inbox but not sure why this is happening. I have used this off an on for several years and just now started using it more. I verified todoist has my email address correctly and I receive daily emails on reminders.

An email was sent from "howard.hestand@ni.com";.

Todoist could not process this due to a model error.

The cause is unknown, but could be related to a deleted item.

If you wish to send emails from this address add it to your Todoist account:
http://todoist.com/#email_tasks/1001115

Here is the other email warning when I use the other email address for todist:

An email was sent from "howard.hestand@ni.com";.

This email sender is unknown for us and the email was discarded.

If you wish to send emails from this address add it to your Todoist account:
http://todoist.com/#email_tasks/1001115

Here is one email address I have for Todist:
Inbox <project.100111581@todoist.net>;

I have it in two locations in my address book for some reason but it is the same in both. The contact name is different in each one.

Is it not recognizing this email address correctly ?

Hi Howard,

We had to change the Project emails recently, to fix an issue. Please re-grab the emails from the projects, and it should work without issue.

It may somehow still be reaching it, but changing the address should resolve it.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brandon, I don't know what you mean by re-grab the emails from the projects. I am just trying to send an email to Todoist so I can later change it to a task if I want. Can you give me the new email address ?

Hello Howard,

What Brendon meant - please right-click on a project, go to "Email tasks to this project" and in this window you will see a unique email address to which you can send your emails (as tasks) into.

Now, this email address has recently changed as we've had to update the email format. Therefore, it's now a different address that your projects used to have, please get the new one and let us know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
David

I had the same issue, so I've done what David explains.

Bummer, since I've changed the adress to the new one, my TD inbox doesn't receive any of my emails anymore!

So now it's worse than before because I can't even use the feature...

What to do next?

Forget it, it just took 10 minutes or so for the system to start working I guess.... now it works.

I'm having the same issue. I can "re-grab" the email address for all the projects I added, but not for the Inbox that I prefer to send all my tasks to for processing. When I click on the link in the error email it states "Project Not Found". How do I "re-grab" the email address for the Inbox?

Tom,

Go into the Inbox, and at the top right, beside the Project name, there is a wrench icon, the Email Tasks To This Project link is within that menu.

Regards,
Brendon.

I had the same problem to. Not to criticize, because I love todoist. But, maybe a newsletter or email for users discussing these changes would be helpful instead of making us scratch our heads and probe support for answers.

Thanks!
