iCal feed does not work

I've upgraded to Premium and followed the instructions on ToDoIst settings to add the iCal feed, and cut and pasted the exact URL into Google Calendar. This was in the Safari browser on a new iMac. It did not work.

The Google error message was: The address that you provided did not contain a calendar in a valid iCal or GData format.

Beta testing results:

The ToDoIst settings refer to: https://ext.todoist.com..... (etc).

The ToDoIst Help video refers to: webcal://todoist.com.... (etc).

Neither works in Safari on an iMac.

I tried again in Google Calendar using IE11 on a Windows 7 machine.

The https:// setting still does not work.

The webcal:// setting DOES work.

Hello John,

Unfortunately, there are indeed some issues with Google Calendar that we're aware of. Usually, adding the URL and then closing the calendar right-away without waiting for it to sync and opening it later can bypass them. We will look into optimizing the feed in the future, though or other alternative ways to sync tasks with Google's Calendar.

You have indeed tried adding it, the moment you see the yellow message, closed it, and came back later? Stil no feed added?

Yup. Several times. It's been several hours since the last add. Nothing.
Showed up once but the tasks were not in sync with Todoist so I
unsubscribed and tried again. Nothing.

I am sorry, that was not clear. Google will only update the feed once a day, are you saying it never added the tasks to the calendar when you added it, or is new changes not being synced?

Both. I tried it twice. It added the feed but the tasks were not correctly
syncing so I unsubscribed and tried several times again.

Stan,

Can you explain "correctly syncing"? Yet I can not reproduce this. Though there are known issues where it only sometimes seem to accept the adding of the feed. We have yet been able to reliably resolve issues with Google.
