Chrome plugin problem - have to delete cookies each time

Hi,

I have a Chrome plugin which started generating problems lately. When I click on the todoist app in Chrome (or when I use the shortcut on my desktop) the todoist page does not show up - only "Untitled" shows up. I managed to find a solution, but I have to use it everyday so it is not actually a solution:

Chrome's Setting -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, remove "todoist.com" from this list, reload the browser and you should see the login page when you open the plugin.

What can I do to definitely fix this?

Hi Jaroslaw,

Are you using the Chrome App or the extension, or both? As the Chrome app has an issue with the latest version of Chrome, and from our research it's an issue on their side. Do you have any other extensions installed for Chrome?

If you are using the plugin, then clearing the data like you did should only be needed once to fix issues such as this.

Regards,
Brendon.

I use both a todoist app and 2 extensions - one todoist and one todoist for gmail. Should I delete one?

PS. I have to clear data everytime I close the todoist app and want to start it again.

PS2. Also, as I mentioned in other thread, I have a problem with todoist for gmail - when I try to add e-mail, sometimes the todoist window outside of the screen. I than have to move the whole Chrome window, so it minimizes for a secons and the when I "put" the window back to full screen it's fixed...

Hello Jarosław,

Please tell me - what version of Chrome are you using?

Also, if you've bookmarked our site in any way, please make sure that the bookmark leads exactly to https://todoist.com and has nothing else in the URL. Only then you will be redirected to the correct version number (and so does the cookie). Preferably, bookmark it while logged out so it won't use the URL with the version number or a certain view.

Best regards,
David

Hi again, I'm using Version 32.0.1700.76 m

I didn't set any bookmarks by myself... I also noticed that when I log out and log in again, the app works once - the new window with todoist opens. But when I close it and try to reopen, the window is titled Unititled and is empty...

Jaroslaw,

For the Chrome app, this is a known issue that is caused by the latest Chrome version, and Google is aware of the issue. It affects certain apps.

As for Todosit for Gmail, do you have any extensions installed that change the way Gmail looks, acts? Preview Pane, Minimulist Gmail or such?

Brendon.

Thanks for your fast answer! So I hope this will be fixed as it's a little bit annoying

As regards gmail - I don't have any such extension. Also, this seems to happen randomly, but usually at the beginning of my day with todoist. Eg. it happende once today but after I resised the window, now it works ok...

Jaroslaw,

Are you offline in the morning, or maybe just connecting? That could cause some issues with it loading.

You are working in windowed mode at all times, when you load Gmail up?

Regards,
Brendon.

I'm always online. This issue happens really randomly - eg. today everything's ok. I work in the windowed mode all the time... Maybe it is just the issue with my particular browser/system/settings. Anyway, it is not such a problem, so I can live with it.

Just hoping this first issue with Untitled window will be fixed...
