Can't change input language in chrome extension

AO

I use Alt+Shift to change input language in Ubuntu from English to Russian and vise versa, but this combination doesn't work in chrome extension. So far I have to change language before I open extension and it's very annoying.

Hello Andrey,

Unfortunately, this may be an issue specifically linked to Linux as we've tried to reproduce it on Windows systems with Chrome and our extension and the Windows shortcut Ctrl+Shift to change the input language works when our extension is opened.

We may consider developing Linux optimized versions of our apps in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

Is there any plans about fixing this bug?
Or you don't want to support Linux version of Google Chrome?

Hello Andrey,

On our end, we don't use any code that would prevent this shortcut from working and we haven't received any other reports about this. That said, we hope that Chrome will address this issue on the Linux version of their browser which will then automatically make it work as it does on all other platforms.

Best regards,
David

Did you try to reproduce this issue on Linux?

Andrey,

As I've said, there it no non-standard code in Todoist that would block this shortcut and it doesn't block it on any Windows or Mac system or version of Chrome except for the Linux version. Therefore, we can't do anything about it other than what we've already done, that is - make sure to not use any code that would cause it and we don't.

Best regards,
David

David,

Could you, please, submit a bug to Google Chrome about not working language switching and place link here?
