Templates broken?

I have been trying to import a bunch of frequent task templates for the past few days but the feature is broken. I am using the same templates i have used in the past with out issue but now i just get unknown errors. Assuming the template format might have changed i just recreated some tasks and exported it. The export is an empty text file.

Hopefully this feature can be fixed as i use the templates to import frequent domino effect style tasks that have many sub tasks.

Hi Matthew,

Which browser are you exporting these from? If you try to use another browser to import, does it still occur?

The issue happens in both Chrome Version 32.0.1700.76 m and IE 11 Version 11.0.9600.16476

Hello Matthew,

After logging out and removing Todoist's offline data from Chrome's Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, then reloading Chrome, please add one new project with a couple tasks and let us know if exporting it works.

If it does, please tell us - what's different between this and the older projects? Are they shared? Do they have special characters in their names?

I did as you suggested in chrome and was able to export a template now.

I can now import that new template to any project but am unable to import my old templates. I have recreated one of my old templates and its word for word the same as the one that won't import but this new one works.

There is nothing different about my old projects compared to this new one. nothing is shared or any special characters.

My templates are not very complex so recreating them and exporting them won't be an issue now that importing works again.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we did indeed make some changes in the import/export option (we've had to due to the shared projects), but this shouldn't have broken old templates :(

We'll continue looking into it.
