Sub Project Creation

KL

I notice folks mention sub-projects. How does one create subprojects? I would like to create a few main projects (e.g. Work, Personal, Family, Social) and then multiple projects under each with tasks under each of those sub-projects? So how do I create the broad projects and then the sub-projects. I only see ways to create tasks. Sorry to trouble you. And THANKS TONS!

Hello,

All elements you see of the left side are projects. "Inbox", for example is one of them. Below it you'll see a link that says "Add project". Click on it and while you'll see a field to enter a project name, you can use the arrow icons on the right side of the input field to indent or unindent it to create a sub-project.

You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+RightArrow and Ctrl+LeftArrow.

Once that's done, if you click on the project name, then you can add tasks on the right side. And task can also become sub-tasks if you click on "Add task" at the bottom of your task list (while you're in a project) and indent it.

Best regards,
David

Hi David. Super helpful. Thanks tons. Having inadvertently already created projects that should be sub-projects, is there anyway to embed an existing project under another existing project? Or create a new project (Work) and move my current work related projects under it so they appear or disappear when I click on the drop arrow to the left of the project. Thanks again!

Ken,

You can change any project (new or old) into sub-projects as described above. Just edit it, and change the indent level.

Thanks,
Brendon.
