API: item.note_count

Hi,

I'm using the Todoist API.

At one point, each item would possibly have a note_count field. I used this to determine whether or not to use /api/getNotes to query for the item's notes.

It appears recent items do not have this field, so in order to check for notes, I have to call /api/getNotes for each item, which seems wasteful.

Was this removal intentional? Is there any other way for me to know whether or not an item has notes?

Hello Nic,

I have passed your question to our devs and will inform you once I hear back from them.

Nic,

According to the developers, it's indeed deprecated and the note count needs to be calculated. If you are implementing a full client, please use our Sync API (and fetch all active data).

Best regards,
David
