Option of automatic rollover to the next day?

CD

Is it possible to have make a task automatically rollover to the next day if it's not completed today? I know I can postpone a task by dragging it to tomorrow, but that still requires me logging in to do this at some point before the day is over. It would be handy to have this as an option to assign to a task if it's not presently available.

Hi Cliff,

Tasks already roll to the next day automatically if not completed, they become overdue. If you are wanting the date to roll over automatically then this is not possible.

Please note, you will lose more Karma by changing the date each day, then to leave it overdue until completion.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

I was actually thinking of my "Today" view when I posted this question. I can query "yesterday" and call up tasks which are one day overdue, but I can't seem to find a syntax for going back further than one day. I know that overdue tasks appear in each individual project, but it would be so much more helpful if I could type in "2 days over due" or "2 days ago" and have those overdue tasks from all projects appear, rather than having to go into each individual project to see those tasks. Some tasks are under "infrequently but occasionaly used" projects, and I don't always think to look in those places to see if I've missed anything.

BTW, I don't use the Karma option (I found it annoying so I turned it off), but thanks for the advisory.

Cliff.

Try using the query "od" to find all overdue Tasks ...

Thanks Randy. Problem is, "od" only allows me to call up all overdue tasks, rather than tasks overdue within a specific time frame (e.g. 2 days overdue; 3 days overdue, etc.).

Thanks anyhow.

I would love my TODAY tasks to always rollover to the next day automatically too.
Everyday I click on each task individually (which is now under the YESTERDAY heading) and re-date it to TODAY. This is very annoying as I have over 25 tasks sitting in that area typically.
