My recurring tasks when completed all show the next due date as 1 Jul 2000

DC

I have a number of tasks which I complete every week. So they are scheduled for Every Tuesday, Every Thursday etc. When the task comes up this week and I tick it as completed, it then appears at the top of my page as an overdue item with a due date of 1st July 2000. If I tick again to mark complete, still the same. Every week I have to set up a new task and delete this old one.
Starting to really get on my nerves now.
Any suggestions?

Hello Deby,

I can't reproduce this issue, it moved my test tasks to the correct next occurrences.

Please tell me - on what platforms are you using Todoist and what's the exact due date formula you've typed into these tasks? Is it just "every Thu" or something else?

Best regards,
David

I am using it on Chrome in my browser, and the date formula is every mon, every tue etc.
But when I click completed it shows as overdue since 1 Jul 2000 and no amount of clicking will change that. It used to work ok, started to do it 6-8 weeks ago? I think that perhaps there had been some sort of update?
Prior to that the tasks had moved up to next week perfectly.

Deby,

So the dates in each task are "every mon" and in another task "every tue" or did you type "every mon, every tue" within one task in which case that's not a supported date format.

As for the issue itself - I still can't reproduce it in Chrome. Even if it was caused by an older bug, it's been fixed now and deleting and recreating this task should fix it permanently.

Try to log out, go to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, delete todoist.com from this list, reload the browser and access Todoist making sure you go directly to https://todoist.com and not an URL containing an older version number.

Best regards,
David

Oops sorry for the confusion David, yes I only use one day per task, not more than one.
I'll try your suggestions and eventually work through and delete all the old tasks and reset them and hopefully it won't reoccur. But I'll certainly come back and let you know if it keeps happening. Thanks for answering my questions. Deby
