Todoist for Gmail plugin - not loading

Hi all,

currently on FF 25.0.1, installed the Todoist plugin for Gmail, but the plugin does not seem to load (no bottom right box, no todoist button). Using Todoist everywhere script as less comfortable alternative but would love to get this up and running.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

jm

Hello Jm,

Please make sure that your browser accepts third-party cookies and that you don't have any script- or ad-blocking plugins or a Gmail Labs extension called "Preview Pane".

Hi David,

preview pane was hit, disabled it but still no luck :( I have even tried fresh FF profile (created new) but it still does not load. I somehow got used to todoist anywhere script so will stick to that...

JM,

Please tell me - do you see the plugin on your list of installed plugins or extensions in Firefox? Also, does your browser accept third-party cookies?

Jm,

Please try to delete the plugin, upgrade to Firefox 26.0, reinstall it and see if it helps. If not, please post the URL you see when you open a message in GMail.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

progress... The extension loads in clean profile FF 26.0, thus it must be smth in my profile.

What did not help:
ABP extension disabled;
All extensions that could possibly be linked to gmail disabled;

Hello again,

I got really annoyed by the Todoist GMail addon not loading correctly in my FF profile today. All that frustration lead me to an idea:

What if I rewrite the Todoist anywhere script to the GreaseMonkey (https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/) script? Won't that actually work as functional substitute of the addon?

After 45 mins I came to the conclusion:
"Yes it would!"

Now than here is the script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/287631

Finally Todoist is there immediately on load of GMail without any additional action required **happiness**

Cheers,

jm

Jm,

We're glad you've found a solution, although the plugin should always be visible as you open Gmail even before you click on any message.

Best regards,
David
