Bug moving due dates forward a day?

EH

I am working on vacation in London and I deny the change in time settings but when I go to update a date, it switches forward a day (i.e. I set it for Friday and a few moments later it switches to Saturday). Not sure if it has to do with some type of "midnight" setting but this is really annoying. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I don't want to change my time settings so I'm in sync when I get back...is this a bug?

Hello Erik,

Unfortunately, if you don't have the correct time zone in Todoist and all devices you use Todoist on, such issues will occur. You must always adjust your time zone when you travel and this is the only way that all your tasks will be correctly scheduled both in the new and the old time zone.

In fact, if you don't correct the time zone, then once you get back, all tasks you've worked on will be scheduled incorrectly.

Best regards,
David

David,

It became more complicated than that. When I returned back to NY and went to edit the dates there was a problem with tomorrow...instead of tomorrow being Friday (as it was Thursday when I was doing this) it would register at Friday for a few seconds then switch to Saturday. This kept happening over and over and I couldn't get it to stay on Friday. I clicked on Friday the 27 on the calendar...switched to 28. Then I entered 'tomorrow' which initially set for Friday then a few seconds later it switched to Saturday again....I found this to happen when time zone changes were no longer a factor. Also, there were no other issues with any other dates--Is this a known issue? Does this happen often? Can you please look into and fix? Very annoying if this continues.

Hello Erik,

Please log out from your Todoist account on each platform, clear the browsers' and apps' caches, reload them, log back in, make sure the time zones are correct everywhere on Todoist and all the devices you use Todoist on and such issue should not occur.

The only way I could imagine that could cause this would be the use of a VPN server outside of your time zone.

Best regards,
David
