Multi selection of tasks gets wiped

E

I believe there is a problem with multi-select task feature.

It looks like a bug to me, and it doesn't happen every single time, but often enough that it's pretty annoying.

How to reproduce:

-shift click on a bunch of tasks
-move cursor to the top menu to click on "change date"
-If I take some time selecting my tasks, my selection gets wiped before I get to click any of the buttons at the top of the window (postpone, change date, etc), and I have to start over.

Anecdotally, it happens every time after I first start a todoist session. Once the problem occurs and my selection gets wiped, it seems to work fine after that and my selections will stick for seemingly unlimited amount of time.

It has been happening often enough that I can almost predict when it will happen, which makes me cringe in anticipation.

Please let me know if there is any other info you need. I use Firefox addon on Windows 7.

Hi Eldar,

There has been one other report of this issue but we have yet been able to reproduce the issue. Please let me know as much detail as possible.

What browser/app are you using?
Version of OS?
Are you always connected to the Internet?
Any extensions installed for browsers?
Is it certain types of tasks you are multi selecting?

Regards,
Brendon.

I'm having the same problem on three machines using either the Todoist app or a browser. Specifically,
- Macbook Pro, OSX 10.8.5. I either use Safari 6.1 (8537.71) or Todoist 3.1 (122)
- Windows 7 using either the last (final?) release of Safari for Windows or Todoist 2.6.1.0
- Windows 8 using either Opera 17.0 or Todoist 2.6.1.0

The problem appears to be independent of the OS, browser, or app.

Bob,

The other report we had, the user has now said today it is not having the same issue.

Please log out of all locations, clear the cache for your browsers and let me know if it continues.

Regards,
Brendon.

I'm having the same problem on every machine I use.
Samsung Chronos 7
Windows 8
Firefox 26.0
Todoist Premium

The problem appears to be independent of the OS, browser, or app.

Martin

I've been using Todoist on Windows 7, and also Fedora Linux core 14.

Firefox 26.0 with addon.

I use both wired (ethernet) and WIFI on my computers over Verizon FIOS, which has pretty solid connection.

As far as type of tasks.. It seems to be affecting tasks of various kinds, including:

Standard, non recurring
Recurring tasks
Tasks with no date
Various task priorities, some of which have had sub tasks.

From what I can observe, it doesn't appear to me to be specific to any particular type of task.

As far as whether the issue is still active, I'm afraid that it is. I've just had it happen 30 seconds ago while I was writing this message. I wanted to verify if the issue persists, so in 7 day view I've tried randomly selecting tasks from Today and Tomorrow and was about to click on "Change Date", and sure enough it happened! My selection was cleared.

I'm still having the issue after logging out of all apps, including my phone and iPad, and clearing the cache on the browsers I use. I logged into Todoist using Safari on OSX, selected four tasks and before I could click on an option to make a change, the four tasks lost focus. I then tried it using the Todoist app on OSX and had the same result after selecting a set of five tasks.
