updating due date of a task and it deletes the typed text in an email linked task

BS

Help! (friends...love your product!)

I've noticed this happening for a couple weeks. I have a task in my "today" list....i click on the text that I've typed in addition to the subject heading of an email (for a task i created using the toolbar extension in chrome while using gmail for example).

I tab over to change the date and save hitting enter...and it deletes the text that had been in the task's main title pane. It preserves the email subject or the website meta data title, but auto deletes the text...whyy?

help! this is a disaster to lose that context for each task that I've added in addition to email subject.

thanks!

Hello Benjamin,

Please tell me - were these tasks added a few weeks ago> Because we've changed the way tasks linked to emails are handled and unfortunately, links added before this change will not preserve the additional text added the old way upon resaving them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As a workaround, you could use Ctrl+A -> Ctrl+C -> Ctrl+V to copy/paste the entire page and then, edit these tasks by re-adding the additional text and if you save it like this - it will stay.

Best regards,
David

Hey David, yes I think you're right. They are older tasks that I've carried over. I guess this is my punishment for not completing things on time? ;) Bummer about that change. Thanks for the reply
