Show date and time a task was completed when searhing for it

T

When I search for a completed task in the Windows/web version, there is no way to display when it was completed. The only way to do this is to go to the "view all completed" page and show tasks from "all time" and scroll very far down -very inconvenient.

is this the intended behaviour? If yes, can I suggest you change this?

Hi Thomas,

We will consider adding more information for completed tasks within Projects, but you can sort the View All Karma information.

You can sort by past 2 weeks, past month, 6 months and all time. You can also sort by label and project.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Just to clarify, I was not talking about viewing completed tasks within projects, but rather within search.

But it would definitely be useful to see the time and date a task was completed in both views.

In addition, I noticed that fetching completed tasks has become quite slow. Any particular reason for this?

Thomas,

How slow are you talking? As if you have lots of tasks that are completed, it can take some time to do so.

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

When fetching completed tasks in a project, I have to wait 5 seconds. (I timed it)

About 5 seconds also when searching. The problem is when searching for an old completed task, I will often not remember precisely its name. So I will sometimes search about 10 keywords in order to find the task. Each time I have to click 'search completed' and wait about 5 seconds. So the total loss of time becomes large in this specific usage case.

In addition, I noticed that you added the date a completed task was completed in the search view. This is a great improvement, thanks! However, within projects the date is still not shown. Are you considering doing this?

Best Regards,

Thomas

Thomas,

Which browser are you using when this happens, does it occur in another one? As loading completed tasks, through projects or search are quite fast and I can't reproduce.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi,

This is in the windows app version. I just tried in in Chrome, and wow it was so much faster. So definitely a windows app issue.

Also, are you considering adding date information to the *project* view of completed tasks?

Thomas,

We will consider doing that in future updates. We will take a look into the windows version, though an update will come that changes the engine to Chrome, so that should get improved anyway.

Regards,
Brendon.
