Bug won't allow updates to existing tagged Add Email tasks in Thunderbird
I mostly use todoist in conjunction with my email in Thunderbird. I get requests from clients and I use the "Add Email as a Task" button to bring them into the app with a link to the original email so I can (1) track it and (2) reply to the client from the original email with the completed document. Often though the clients or I need to make adjustments to the tasking specs, but everytime I do that in the task pane I lose the link to the email and it inputs some sort of TB or machine-code link (e.g., thunderbird Re: online

Specifically I often change the tag attribute, but it seems to happen at other times if there's a tag assigned or being assigned during the operation (e.g., when changing the due date for an item with an existing tag, or adding a tag at a later point). It is quite frustrating as I have to find the email, delete the task and reset the task from scratch with all the updated features, and hope it doesn't need to be changed again.
I absolutely need to link back to the original document, so I could forgo the tags but it's useful for tracking, accounting and invoicing later. Is this a bug that can be fixed quickly? If not what's the timeline on getting it repaired or any advice you can give me to use this feature more reliably?
I should note that the email is generally not running through a gmail account in any way and the only connection to it that I can see is that it reports it out as a calender/task item in Google calendar.
Thank you for your report. This is a known bug and we're looking into it now. It's indeed caused by the label being put at the front of the task's name.
That said, for now, as a workaround, please make sure to move the label back to the end if you edit a task made from an email that has a label.
This issue is now fixed. You can leave the label at the front of the task's name and it won't break it.
