Windows PC, Android.

U

It's me again. This morning when opening Outlook I got the message " Cannot pick up file (translation, my comment)" ///C:/Program Files (x86)/OutlookTodoist/OutlookTodoist.vsto.
When I try to log in through Outlook nothing happens, no fault message, but if I use incorrect log in information it lets me know it is wrong.
I can access my account through the Windows panel.
I have had too much problems lately with Todoist and my patience is running out. I cannot spend hours to troubleshoot.
Sincerely
Rolf K. Svensson

Hello Rolf,

Please tell me:
- Are you using the latest version of the Outlook plugin from https://todoist.com/outlook ?
- What version of Outlook are you using?
- Are you behind any corporate firewalls or proxy servers?

Best regards,
David

Hi Rolf,

When this started, did anything else change, was there an update to the system, any settings changed? I would suggest removing the iCal feed from your calendar, and grabbing the link again from our website.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
Nothing had happend, prior to the problems. No update, nothing.
I have removed the iCal and installed the the link from your website, all according to your video. No change.

Thanks
-Rolf

Rolf,

If you're using Todoist in Swedish and we've received reports about issues showing %d instead of overdue day counts, this could be related to this issue and maybe such variables as %d are included within the feed.

I will pass this to the developers and we'll look into this soon.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

That sounds strange as it has worked perfect since April until about a month ago.

Since we are not getting anywhere with the problem I have I will try to reinstall the software before i give up. Whatever I do I cannot remove all the information, for example my log in information. Is this stored on your server? If not, direct me how to remove all information.

Rolf,

We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you just want to reinstall Todoist, you don't have to delete your account. In fact, deleting your account will permanently delete all data on it which you won't be able to recover at all.

If you do wish to delete your account, you can do to by logging into it at todoist.com clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner and going to Settings -> Account where you'll find a "delete my account" link at the bottom.

Best regards,
David

Rolf,

Please confirm what problem are you referring to at this point?

The issue with seeing %d on your today list is not fixed yet, we'll fix it soon. In your last reply you've asked me how to delete your account and now you've said that you're still experiencing the same problems after a reinstall.

Are you still referring to the %d issue or something else? Did you experience issues deleting your account?

Best regards,
David

David,

I was not able to delete Todoist completely. I removed as many files I could find related to the program, but when I reinstalled the program with the same password I was told it already existed.

The %d issue remains and it annoys me. I have no use for the program as long as the problem remain.

Rolf,

So you do want to delete your Todoist data with all your tasks, right? If so, please follow the steps I've mentioned earlier, that is:

"(...) you can do to by logging into it at todoist.com clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner and going to Settings -> Account where you'll find a "delete my account" link at the bottom."

This will permanently remove all your data and you'll be able to register a new empty free Todoist account.

Best regards,
David
