Tasks sort order

Good morning,

In the past few days I've noticed that tasks are not sorted correctly.

For example, I just added a task which, instead of going at the bottom of today list after others prioritized tasks, popped up below tasks with reminders but above tasks with priority 2 or 3.

Another example, by filtering Wednesday tasks, prioritized tasks are randomly arranged instead of being at the beginning of the list.

Could you please help me solve this issue? It is becoming pretty annoying.

Hi Matteo,

Which platform are you using to notice these issues?
Which platform are you creating these tasks on?
Are all these all tasks, or only tasks with dates, or only tasks with recurring dates, etc?

If you could provide as much information as possible it could help us figure out the issue. Does this occur on any other platform (mobile etc)?

I noticed these issues while using: Chrome plugin, web interface and OSX app.

I've created these tasks via: email, Chrome plugin and web interface.

The tasks that are arranged randomly are either with dates or recurring dates.

I have not noticed this issue on the mobile app.

Right now tasks sorting seems fine. I just created a test task for today and it appears at the bottom of the page after tasks with priorities. This morning the same test resulted in the new task appearing at the beginning of the list above tasks with priorities.

I'll keep you posted if I notice this issue again,

Hello Matteo,

Thank you for this information, we'll keep looking into this issue - it's a recurring problem, but so far we were unable to trigger it and therefore identify and fix it.

We'll soon publish a bigger update which rewrites some of this code and it should hopefully fix this problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.
