Todoist Shows Incomplete Badge Icon In iOS even when no tasks due

My Todoist app icon on my iPad mini (iOS 7) almost always shows a red "1" badge for one due item when I have completed all my tasks for the day. If I launch Todoist it will show me that there are no tasks due but when I exit the badge persists. I've tried refreshing multiple times and checking Todoist from multiple other apps (Android and Mac OS X) to make sure there are no tasks left undone that aren't showing up in my iPad app, but have found nothing. Occasionally, if I complete my last task for the day with my iPad app, the badge will clear briefly, but later it will almost always be back.

On a side note, a feature suggestion I have is to offer iOS and Android users the option of showing a green check mark badge on their app icon when they're clear for the day.

Hello Ben,

Thank you for your suggestion, you're welcome to request such feature in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote_iOS/

Regarding the badge issue - please make sure that Todoist as well as all devices you access it on are set to the same time zone. If they are, please try to log out from the iOS app, delete it, go to the web-version of Todoist at https://todoist.com click on the gear icon in the top-right corner to go to Settings -> Reminders and delete your device from this list.

After that, reinstall the app, log in and let us know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
David

I followed your instructions and logged out of Todoist and uninstalled it on my iPad. When I logged into Todoist on my laptop, my iPad was no longer listed as a device under Reminders in the Settings panel. I then re-downloaded Todoist on my iPad and logged in again. The problem has persisted. Right now, the Todoist app icon shows a red badge for one uncompleted item. If I open Todoist, I see the big checkmark and the message that I'm done for the day. I opened Todoist in my laptop browser, in my Todoist desktop app, and on my Android cell phone and none of them exhibit the problem.

Ben,

Please confirm - is your iPad as well as the Todoist app on the iPad using the same correct time zone?

Best regards,
David

All apps are operating on the New York time zone.

Ben,

Sorry for the trouble. Please try signing out of all locations, web/desktop, mobile etc. Clear the cache for all browsers and then log back into the web version.

Are you able to find any overdue tasks now? Then log back into the iOS version.

Regards,
Brendon.
