deleting Reminders from Web/Desktop does not propogate to Android

BC

Note, I only tested this on Android, will try on my iPad tonight....

I initially create a reminder on a task either on Web/Desktop or Android, and that creation syncs fine. A change to the reminder date/time syncs to web/desktop (you cannot edit/change existing reminders date/time on Web, only delete currently). If I delete the reminder from Android, that deleting WILL sync, aka, the reminder will be deleted from the Web/desktop.

However, if I try to delete the reminder from the Web/desktop, that deletion WILL NOT sync/propagate to Android.

This is easily reproducible, pretty sure it's a bug.

Hi Brian,

Reminders can be edited on the web version of Todoist, well they can be if added to the default reminder. So if you add a date of "today at 11pm" you can edit that, and the default reminder will go with it, but yes, you can't directly edit the 30 minutes before reminder attached to it.

Now to clarify, you are adding a reminder or remove one on the web, this does not sync with Android? Changes made to Android, does sync to web?

The first thing you should try is to remove the data from the app (Android Settings, Apps, Todoist, Clear Data) and see if that helps. Also, which version of Android are you running? Do you have any custom ROMs etc?

Thanks,
Brendon.

I have a reminder for a task already set, and it can be seen on both Android and Web. Deleting that reminder on the Web WILL NOT make the reminder disappear on the mobile. If I remove the reminder on Android first, it WILL be deleted from the Web.

So the bug is that deleting reminders from the web does not cause the associated reminder to be removed on Android. The other way around works fine.

I did try to clear the app data, problem persists. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S4, Android 4.2.2. No custom ROM.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your report, I've been able to reproduce this issue and I've passed it to the developers, we'll look into it now.

Best regards,
David

This may be related. I am being reminded daily on the android app about long-completed tasks. For example, I am still reminded daily to pick up my Thanksgiving turkey...
