Multiple Google accounts - email link

T

I'm using the Gmail plugin for Todoist, and when I create a new task from an email by clicking the "Add to Todoist" button at the top of my Gmail navigation bar, I'm encountering a problem. I have two email accounts - 1 open in each tab in Chrome - a work (primary) and personal (secondary). I have my Todoist account tied to my personal Gmail account, which I have open as a secondary Google account on my work computer. Whenever I click the link in Todoist to bring me back to the email that I created the task for, Todoist tries to load my primary (work) Google Apps email account, instead of just taking me to the email.

Thoughts? Do I have to have my individual account be the primary account I have open in my browser, and then open my work email from the personal?

Thanks,
-Taylor

Hi Taylor,

Does this only happen with tasks that were added from the Google Apps account, or both? So to clarify, tasks added with the personal, open your gapps account, gapps task opens gapps? I have two normal accounts, and the task always opens the correct account.

I believe it's an issue with Google Apps accounts and I will let the developers know about it.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

The task was created in my personal account, and the link was clicked in the window in my personal account. However, after the link is clicked - my browser loads my Google Apps email account, and Google gives me an error message saying "The conversation no longer exists".

I no longer actively user Todoist with my work Google Apps account.

Taylor,

So you are not using Multi Inbox, but two separate accounts signed in? If you sign out of the work email, does the link (from personal) open up the correct email account?

Thanks,
Brendon.
