Gmail Integration

Hi guys ...& Gals, I am trying to set up a work flow using the Gmail integration however, I regularly receive emails that I want to forward and become tasks but a lot of these emails have the same subject.
I have tried to edit the subject to something meaningful before I forward the email but the tasks end up with the original subjet as the task name.
I would like to set a meaningful task name while I am looking at the email prior to forwarding it and save having to sort everything out in ToDoist.
Also, should any attachment arrive with the email in the task?
Thank you in anticipation
Steve

Hi Steve,

When emailing or forwarding a message to Todoist, you can edit the subject of that email to whichever you'd like.

The other solution would be to use our new Gmail Plugin which will give you more options. http://todoist.com/gmail

No, unfortunately, attachments are not included at the moment.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon, thanks for the prompt reply.
I'm running Windows 7, 64bit, Google Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m.
I installed the new Gmail plugin but that just provides a link to the email, I'm still trying to forward the whole email to a task with a meaningful task name.
I've tried and tried changing the subject before I forward the email but it always arrives as a task with the original subject as the task name.
I would like to set a meaningful task name while I am looking at the email prior to forwarding it and save having to sort everything out in ToDoist.
What am I doing wrong Brendon????
Cheers
Steve

Steve,

Yes, you are correct. That was my misunderstanding. When you forward the email it takes the title of the original email message and at the moment can not be changed.

Regards,
Brendon.
