Reminders -> Relative/Fixed select is read-only

CH

When I try to add a reminder to a task, the Reminders popup correctly shows my default "Via Mobile push notifications" but the next dropdown is read-only and set to "Remind me on a specific time". There used to be a relative time selection. My premium membership runs out in 20 days, and I just noticed this change at the beginning of this month. Is that related?

Hi Christian,

The Relative reminder needs to have a due date for it to be added, so once you add a time such as "today at 2pm" it will give the option you are referring to.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Thanks Brendon, I can work around with that. My task does have a due date but not a due time. My task is a yearly recurring task that I want a reminder for 30 days and 10 days before due. Even though the task doesn't truly have a due time (11:59pm would be the most accurate), I will add one to get the relative reminder selection activated.

Enhancement: a task with a due date and not a due time can have relative reminders, but those reminders are by days and not by hours.

Ideally, I would not add a time for a task like this because when I do, it will not show up as an "all day" event in my iCal feed, it will show up as an actual appointment at 11:59pm, which actually would stretch into the next day because of the "virtual" 60 min length of the appointment.
