Default Behavior After Adding a Task

JK

Is there a way to turn off the redirect to the page where your created task will show up? For example, here's what I see:
1) In X project, I create a task for Y project using the plus icon in the top-right corner of my screen.
2) After saving my new todo, I am redirected to the Y project list.

I'd like to be able to stay on the X project page throughout the interaction. If I had wanted to see the Y project list, I would have navigated there first.

I've seen this happen on the Android device and the website. Please let me know if there's a configuration somewhere I'm missing to override this.

Thanks!

Hello Julia,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to turn this off, this is the default behavior of the "Quick Add" option - to show you what other tasks you have in the different project or, if you use a due date, scheduled for this date.

The option to add tasks from within a project (at the bottom of the task list) behaves differently - it will not redirect you and you'll be able to add multiple tasks one after another. However, there's no way to stay within one project and add a task to another and not get redirected.

We may consider changing this behavior in the future and you're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/408/
