Search of completed tasks doesn't find subordinate tasks not moved to history

RA

If you have a completed task that is subordinate to a parent task but the completed child task has not been moved to history, you cannot find it with Search. Even when you ask to search completed tasks, it is not returned. Once moved to history it shows up in search results, but that is not what I want to do since I often reuse tasks in this way and do not want to destroy its position in the hierarchy by moving to history.

Hi Rhonda,

Please clarify, you have a sub-task that is completed, but the parent task is not completed? Or the other way around, or both are completed?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Parent task is NOT completed. Sub-task IS completed. Sub-task will never show up in search results, even if you click "Search completed tasks..."

Rhonda,

This would be the correct behavior. Since sub-tasks that are completed do not disappear from the parent task until the parent task is completed, which would be why they are not able to be found within completed.

The issue though is that it does not show up at all within Search. I have let the developers know about this.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Rhonda,

This should be fixed in the next update (v185).

Thanks,
Brendon.
