accidentally checked off a task

C

My problem is i have a lot of nested tasks under a main task (around 30 total) and I accidentally checked off the main task. Now all my nested tasks are gone and I can't get them back because viewing the completed tasks is a pro feature. That sucks. There should be a delay before they go away, or I should be allowed to view completed tasks for the day so I can un-do any accidental mistakes. I just lost my entire task list under an important project because of 1 wrong mouse click.

Hello Cel,

Viewing completed tasks is only a Premium feature if you want to see all of them at once with options to filter them and visualize your productivity.

The regular free option of viewing completed tasks can be accessed by entering the project in which you've completed the task and clicking on the circular icon in the bottom-right corner.

Once you'll see all your completed tasks there, simply click on the checked box of the parent task and it, along with all its sub-tasks, will be restored.

Best regards,
David

Hi, I just installed Todoist today on my iPhone to compare it with Things. Trying out various aspects, same thing happened to me: touched an entry and boom, it's gone! So how do I get the task back on iPhone when no computer is at hand (say I'm on on the road)?

How can I see my checked tasks anyway? They seem to disappear which is kind of weird because I lose any indication of what I've done today ...

Hello Reinhard,

Please scroll to the bottom of your list in the project in which this task was completed and tap on the "Completed tasks" link. Here you can see all completed tasks from this project and also uncomplete them.

David

Ah, yes, I see.

Well, I am really missing an option to leave completed tasks displayed in lists, like greyed out or crossed out. To me its much more satisfying to see what tasks are completed than to search for them. Maybe its just because I'm used to it, but it's kind of a no-go criteria for me ... :/

To be a bit more precise: I am primarily thinking of of today view, which in my case is by far the most used view. Ah yes, and on all platforms alike. :)

Reinhard,

Thank you for your feedback, we will consider changing this in the future :-) For now, you can see completed tasks crossed out within projects, but only if they're sub-task as these stay on the list until you complete the whole parent task.

David
