VAT when book premium subscription?

Hi there!

When I try to book the premium subscription via your website I have to fill in my credit card - so obviously you're using a "standalone" billing system.

When I tap on "Premium" on my Android devices the subscription fee will be billed by Google wallet - and therefore most obviously inlcuding the (german) VAT. But Google does not deliver real invoices...

If I order via your site will I get the invoice showing the VAT? I'm just asking because it's important for my tax stuff ;-)

Hi Matthias,

Unfortunately no, we do not offer full invoice at this time. You will receive a receipt to your email, but this is not an invoice as to your request. We are going to consider implementing one in the future.

Hi I also need VAT invoice, it is agianst EU law that you are not issuing correct invoice. I have payed from my company's paypal and inovice I have there is not enough, it is not VAT invoice.
Could you please send me mannualy this inoice?

Unfortunately, as Brendon mentioned, we don't issue invoices right now, but we'll consider offering such service in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I agree with Lev.
Without invoice it's impossible to organize comptability.
If i knew this, I would't buy your product !

I have never heard from a company that the don't do invoicing!?

Invoicing is not optional, European Businesses need an complete invoice for every payment they do. I don't think i need to explain why...

Todoist is really great and therefore I'm gladly paying the premium price for it. But as I use it commercially (as most probably the majority of your users) I really need a proper invoice. Had I know before that you don't do this I wouldn't have upgraded.

Also you're violating EU law if you sell to EU citizens without VAT-compliant invoices as it has been stated before.

So for both reasons I really don't understand that it has such a low priority on your todo list Please reconsider.

Same here, I just bought it and yes it was my mistake not looking in the support for the invoice requirement.
I bought the product with the company credit card as such and compiling with EU regulations your company should provide with an invoice with the VAT number of the buyer.
Please get back to me asap with a solution for this issue.

I have read the thread but in any case I would like to enquire by email if
I could have a proper invoice with the VAT number of my company.
Here it is the full information that needs to be mentioned in the invoice,
according to EU law.

Same here, we are about to buy the Business version of your product today but it is unconceivable that you are not doing invoices. You did not start this business yesterday therefore you had plenty of time to comply.

Please set this as a priority. The highest possible

I know you will not charge VAT since this is an international transaction but I absolutely need that our VAT number appears in the receipt of the payment under our contact info. That will be sufficient.

Please tell me how to send you the full company data.

Hi Stefano,

Currently, the field for the address is just a rich text field that you can type into. So you can technically add VAT information in it. Will that work or do you need an actual different field for it?

If you do need a separate field, I'll have to bring this up with our developers to see if they can add one specifically just for VAT info.

Hi Stefano,

No need to send it to me. You can do it yourself. Just follow these steps:

1. click the gear icon in the upper right corner
2. select "Todoist Business .dmin"
3. click on "Account and Billing" in the sidebar options (3rd and last option)
4. Under "Your business account", click the EDIT button beside Invoice Address
