Problems editing a task that was added as an email in Thunderbird

PC

We can finally open emails added as tasks in ToDoist for Thunderbird again (YAY!), but now if we add an email as a task, then go back to edit it (even to change the due date), the task loses the link to the email, and instead of showing up as the Email Subject, underlined, I get something like this: [[thunderbird Re: ATTN Hannah / Re: Stimm Unit
CAAUxUu63OHBQMZfvsaXeOp0YqgzHL15YO-nAEe-cEGnKofTdXg@mail.gmail.com
]]

I thought that it was just adding an extra bracket ([]) around the email, but deleting the additional brackets do not fix.

Any suggestions about how to fix this?

Thank you

Hello,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue. When I click on the task, it shows only the subject line in it or any text I have added there, I don't see any further code. This code has been removed from our app lately, it was visible in the past before we've made the change.

Please log out, clear the cache and log back in to make sure the plugin loads the latest version of our app.

Best regards,
David

This problem has cropped up again. If I have a task that I added as "Add an email as task" in my Thunderbird ToDoist that I edit, it is no longer linked to that email, and instead comes up as a long string as indicated above. It was fixed for the last 2 days, but I have encountering this problem again.

Please tell me, do you experience the same issue in this version of the plugin: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/2a91bb481ed2d556ae8dd6c92a245f19/as/todoist_for_thunderbird-4.1-tb.xpi ?

And if this is the version you're already using and you've got it from another support thread, please try to use the currently available version from todoist.com/thunderbird instead and let me know if it occurs in both versions.

Best regards,
David

That was the version of the plugin I am using, but I uninstalled and reinstalled as suggested. It seems to be working properly now, hopefully it stays that way!

We, at work, have the same problem and have found that we can modify as many times as we want the description and schedule on a task provided we do not include a tag on it.

It seems that once we tag a task, any other change we made after that, the task is screwed.

Hi There,

Do you have any other extensions installed for Thunderbird? We will look into this issue asap.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I have several extensions in thunderbird (about 15) are you looking for any in specific?

Hi,

If you could disable all of them (not remove) and see if the issue persists. If it does not, then enable all of them one by one, this could help us find the cause.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi,

I have disabled all my addons, restarted my thunderbird, cleared my cookies and page file. Create a task, modified it and after I save it with a tag, the task comes corrupted.

Hello,

Thank you for this information, now I've been able to reproduce this issue and I've passed it to the developers.
