sub-task auto-indent drag & drop

JD

I am desperately looking for a program that I can drag and drop items as sub-tasks similar to how you can drag and drop and email into folders in Outlook by hovering over the item until it expands and shows an indented horizontal line if that's where it will be placed. The expand/collapse icons for the sub groups are also essential. Finally, Google Tasks integration of syncing all the lists and sub-tasks would make this perfect.

Hi Joseph,

Thank you for the suggestion. Feel free to add this to our votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/.

As for Google Tasks, we do not plan to integrate with it as we believe we are an alternative to it.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I'm fine with todoist being an alternative to Google Tasks since you have a wide range of cross platform interfaces. I'm testing the iOS app right now and I'm noticing that the sub-tasks management isn't functional enough to manage a large amount of tasks. There needs to be a way to collapse task groups. Moving a top level task does not also move it's sub-tasks. Accidentally marking a top-level task as complete, and then choosing uncomplete does not populate the entire group with the reverse action just performed. The request to drag and drop items into sub-levels would also apply in the iOS app.

Fortunately, I discovered the # key shortcut for the online interface for moving tasks.

Hello Joseph,

We will surely improve the way sub-tasks are handled in our iOS app in future updates.

Best regards,
David

No news about this?
This for me is a show stopper for using todoist on the iPad.
As it is now is almost impossible to deal with sub-tasks, which by the way is one best features of todoist.
You can easily collapse and add sub tasks on Android. Why is taking so long on the iOS?

Hello Fernando,

We will add such option in future updates, we're sorry for the delays.

Best regards,
David

I would also appreciate the collapsing in (of projects and tasks) on ios.

Additionally, in your view, when should a task be a project and when should task be a task?

How have you approached this issue, that is you can setup todoist in different way.
