Why do my tasks show up twice?

DW

For the past few days, any time that I have tried to add a new task, it will come up twice in my task list. I am using the website on my laptop. When this happens, I have been marking one of the tasks as complete, so I am left with only one iteration of the task.

Any help that can be provided would be great.

Hello Dan,

Please tell me:
- What browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this in another browser (which one)?
- How exactly are you adding the task? Within a project or using the "Quick Add" feature?
- Do you have any browser plugins installed? If so - does the issue persist when you disable them?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I am using Chrome. It only happens when I add a task using the plus button in the top right. It does not happen when I click on a project and then try to add a task within that page. This happens in IE as well, so I imagine it is not related to any plugins I have in Chrome -- I do not have any IE plugins/addons.

Thanks!
Dan

Dan,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue in any browser. Please try to log out from your Todoist account, go to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data and remove todoist.com from this list. Then reload the browser and log back in.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I went ahead and did this and the error continued. It now doesn't happen every time, but it did happen once. I will hope it does not come back. I will let you know if it continues to occur.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Are you able to reproduce this in another browser, say IE? Also, are you using the Chrome extension, are you able to see if it happens when using this?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

As I mentioned earlier, I recreated this in IE before as well. It seems to have stopped now, as it does not happen in any browser or with the Chrome extension.

We have had the same problem using the Thunderbird plugin. Any info to avoid this would be helpful.

Hello,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, so far we're unable to reproduce this, but we're looking into this across platforms and hope to find the source of this issue soon.

Best regards,
David
