Hello,

@Niels - it's true that you can't leave it empty. If you don't want to use it, you can set it so something complicated such as Ctrl+Shift+Alt+} which most likely won't be used accidentally.

@Volos - please clarify what issue are you experiencing exactly? Are you trying to copy the shortcut itself into a task?

If you're referring to the WIndows app, please right-click on the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray, next to your system's clock) and go to "Configurations" Here, you can click on a shortcut with your mouse and as this field is highlighted, press the key combination which you want to use for this shortcut.

Best regards,
David

Volos,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue so far. Please try to log out, clear your browser's cache, reload the browser and log back in.

Also, to clarify:
- How was this task added from an email (through Firefox or Chrome and GMail, through Outlook, through Thunderbird, through Postbox)?
- Does it contain just the subject line of the email or also some custom text?
- Does just the custom text disappear or also the subject?
- The moment you left-click on the task within a project, it opens a completely empty task input box?

Best regards,
David

Volos,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to add links to multiple emails within one task right now.

Hello Volos,

Unfortunately, this issue will not be fixed. It's a very complex problem and as we've changed the handling of the tasks with links to emails, it will not be possible to make the old links containing additional text work. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

If you need to add long additional descriptions to tasks, we strongly recommend to use task notes instead.

Best regards,
David

Hello

It is a pity.
You've actively promoted this feature and all of your users (including those who buy the pro account) will not be able to save their notes to emails.
It is just impossible to copy the text.
Yes, paid users will be able to export their notes and re-upload them. But who would do that?
I wanted to go to a paid subscription, but now I'll look for an alternative.
Please provide an alternative solution to this problem.

Thank you!

We're very sorry for the inconvenience. If you'd like to copy/paste this text, please don't open the task, but instead place your cursor somewhere on the white space next to your list and drag while holding the left mouse button over all tasks to select them or use Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C to copy the entire text on the screen, paste it to the notepad and then you can add it into task notes.

Best regards,
David
