Crash at launch every time iOS

A

I have 14 projects total (10 being sub-projects) and about 20 tasks between those. The app crashes at launch when loading daily tasks every time. I have iPod Touch 4g, restarts don't help.

Hello Andrey,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, if you're using iOS 7 (please confirm), it may indeed crash on some devices, we've fixed this issue already in our new iOS 7 optimized app which is under Apples approval and should be available to download soon (hopefully in a couple of days).

Best regards,
David

Hi Andrey,

Are you jailbroken? If not, I would suggest logging out of the app and back in again. If that does not help, a re-installation of it should.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

Also have an iPod 4g on iOS6. Tried re-installing, logging in again, and still crashing. It opens for a few seconds, the wheel spins, and then it shuts down.

Hello Cyn,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on this right now. It seems to occur if there are no tasks on the today list.

Best regards,
David

Ah, I see. That must be it.

I added a couple more items that were due on the web version of Todoist, and when I checked back later, the app started working again.

A task manager should make a user feel warm and fuzzy when they finish all of today's tasks, not crash on it, LOL. :-)

Hello Bart,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we will no longer support the iOS 6 version of our app.

Why are you no longer supporting iOS6? Is it for the look or are there more fundamental reasons?

Hello Simon,

The main reason why we won't support iOS 6 is the difference in how this system works and we would basically have to develop two apps - one specifically for iOS 6 and one for iOS 7, maintain each separately and also strip the iOS 6 version out of some features such as the background sync that's only available on iOS 7.

David
