Tasks assigned to next day

M

I'm having the same problem as Meghan (below). Tasks are being assigned to the next day. I'm wondering if this is because Daylight Savings TIme will occur on Nov. 3, so tasks added today but scheduled for after Nov. 3 are being pushed to the next day?

Hi There,

As asked for Meghan, have you changed timezones or anything such as this? Daylight Savings can cause the same effect but it wouldn't happen before that time.

How are you adding tasks, please share exactly step by step how you create a task.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello,

No, I have not changed time zones or done anything differently.

The two tasks I'm dealing with, which automatically convert to the next day, have not been input any differently than any of my other ones. I'm using the desktop app on a Macbook Air.

Hi,

Please let me know exactly what you typed to create those two tasks, and when does it change, when you hit save, or after a bit?

If you sign into Todoist on the web version, are they also for the wrong date?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Yes, it happens whether I'm on the app or on the web version. It changes after I hit save.

I click on add task, input the task, and then choose the date from the calendar. I've also tried to input the date manually. Either way it converts to the next day once I click save.

Hi,

I would suggest checking the settings for Todoist (website) and your desktop settings to confirm that the timezones are the same. Our only instance we are aware of with issues like this is when the timezone is off on one device. Please confirm that the desktop, and the settings at (todoist.com, top right corner) are the same.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I changed the time zone settings from "GMT -4:00" to "(GMT-0400) US/Eastern" and things are working smoothly now.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Brendon,

It's Meghan from the other post... I did the same thing (changed the time zone from "GMT -4:00" to "(GMT-0400) US/Eastern") as our friend here, and it seems to have corrected the issue.

Thanks!

Meghan
