When I add a new project it is created and I can add tasks, but once I switch to another project the new one disappears along with all of the tasks.
I was able to create about 20 projects before this started happening. I used the "Show all projects" option and the new projects still don't show up.
If I cut and paste the URL in for the project I just created I can get back to it but it doesn't show up on the list.
I tried clearing my cache on the browser and that actually worked (once) but now it is happening again and clearing the cache isn't helping.
In case it matters, I also just installed the Outlook plugin but I was using the todoist.com site to add projects.
This is happening to me as well. I'm on Google Chrome Version 29.0.1547.76 m.
If there's anymore information I can provide just ask.
For more information:
-1st, I click the "Add Project" button on the left side.
-I type in a name.
-The project is then created when I click the "Add Project."
Seconds later it simply evaporates. It's equivalent to me deleting it.
-Different names have make no difference.
-Putting it under a different project doesn't work.
-The projects are not archived. They are gone.
-"Viewing all projects" proves further nonexistence.
I'm experiencing something similar; adding a sub project to an existing project - the sub-project disappears.
I was able to see the project appear after closing IE and then going to Firefox - but then similar behavior when adding a sub-project in FF.
I am able to see these vanishing sub-projects via iPhone app
I have exactly the same. I tried it in Chrome and Firefox - projects disappear (and the url automatically changes - like there was some redirection). When I checked on my android phone, all the projects I have created were visible.
Same thing here- add a project, add a task, and zip- it disappears and the idiot prompt comes back to annoy me.
Don't have time for this shit.
Premium user btw.
Thank you for the report, this seems to be a fairly new issue and we are now looking into it.
Please provide full system details, and exactly how and where you were creating these projects.
Win7 Pro 64bit SP1, 4gb ram, FF23.0.1, using TD add-in for FF in sidebar with gmail open- trying to add project and then add task from e-mail.
See this for extensions running in FF:
I wonder if this is related to the question I just asked; my projects don't so much disappear (as far as I know ... yikes?!?) but tend to rearrange themselves both under different main projects (as sub-projects) and as different indentation levels ... this happens either randomly (I'm typing an entry to Inbox, suddenly page refreshes in the middle and projects turn out half scrambled) or upon using the "send to different project" option for individual tasks.
I have close to the 80 limit, various indentations, most colored but nowhere near the limit in terms of tasks (I think I have sub-200 total).
The split panel sub-projects, coloring and date assignments are why I came to Todoist to begin with in that order and if the projects don't hold themselves in place (or worse yet disappear, as mentioned) ... well ...
I noticed this happens in Chrome, not sure if it's Chrome only (Mac OS X 10.6).
UPDATE: this seems to be Chrome-centric as messing around on Safari (10.6) seems to be a lot smoother without the random screen-jumping of Chrome upon doing, just about anything ... but this may be just my experience. But this stuff and various other misc. usability issues seems to be more Chrome-centric (jumping pages, random page refreshes in middle of typing a task, selecting one project to display only to have page jump and selecting another project to display that's physically far removed from the project desired, etc.).
Maybe it has something to do with how Chrome handles HTML5? IDk...
Happening to me too! Ugh!
Same thing happening to me on the app installed as well when using on safari.
project disappears the moment you add it. i am on OSX 10.8.5 platform using safari Version 6.0.5
fixed for me now
Fixed- Ok, so far I am impressed.
Good job guys. What was the glitch?
This was related to an update we did with our sync API. It should indeed now be fixed.
If still experiencing, please clear the cache for your browser.
