Reminder recurring even though task is gone/done/edited and done

G

Hi: I have a pushed notification that keeps showing up four days after the task has been either deleted or completed (I have checked, and I think the task got edited after the reminder was set, and then completed).

Not huge, but a starting to get annoying.

Hi Glee,

If you search for this task, does it show up, where is it located? Please try searching on the web version to see if you can find it, not in the completed section.

I would suggest logging out of the app (if iOS) or clearing the data for the app (Android) and see if the issue continues.

Thanks,
Brendon.

The same here for me on the Todoist app for Android randomly.

However, the completed task does show up in the completed section of the web version.

Hello Marko,

Please try to find the completed task within its original project (enter the project and use the circular icon in the bottom-right corner), un-complete it, right-click on it, go to "Reminders" and see if it has any reminders attached to it. If not, complete it and see if the issue persists.

If it does and you don't mind deleting the completed tasks in this project, please do so by clicking on the "Task action" icon at the top and choosing "Delete completed". Note - this will not delete the completed history in the "View All Completed" page, just the actual completed tasks within this project.

Best regards,
David

Thanks for your reply. I checked the completed task and there were no reminders set up. So, I completed the task again. This seems to have the issue fixed. In the Android app the task now also disappeared from the "Today" view (were it still was listed as an overdue task (completed and striked-through) for more than 4 days...)
