Add Task - Ctrl button doesn't work for movement

GW

When adding a task in the browser using the + icon, the ctrl button used along with the arrow keys does not work for moving between words when editing the text. However, the ctrl button does work when highlighting text. You can highlight a whole word with ctrl+shift+arrow key, but you cannot use ctrl+arrow key to move between words.

Hi Glen,

The keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Arrow" is used when editing a task, when it is the creation of a new task that command is used to change the indent level of the task. Since you are using the + icon to add this task, the command does nothing.

Thanks,
Brendon.

When using the + icon, I'm in a different context than adding a task using the link at the bottom of the screen. Can the + adding textbox not just act normally and allow this kind of text manipulation?

Glen,

We are working on quite a few things but I will see if this is a simple implementation, as then it would make sense to allow within the Quick Add feature. If not, we will consider doing this in the future.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Thanks for the quick response. It's not an urgent problem, but it was a hiccup in expected usability, so I figured I'd pass it on. Thanks again!
