Todoist support for Blackberry 10

J

Dear Todoist support staff,

I am new to your services and find the set-up very efficient and useful for my education. However, as a blackberry 10 owner, I am wondering if there will a creation of an application to allow me to sync my device with my computer? Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

We do not have any concrete plans to create an app for Blackberry at this time but we do want to support as many people as possible, so it's very likely it could happen in the future.

Feel free to vote on these suggestions.

I am very disappointed. When I first signed up I had ToDoist on my BB Q10 and now it's not longer available? Why? If the app was designed why discontinue it?

Hi All,

In general, Android apps can run on newer BlackBerry devices.

I don't know that this works in particular for Todoist (haven't tried it yet; may do so to help my wife adopt Todoist), but it should. If you have a recently updated BB10 device (OS 10.2.1 or greater, I think) then you can use the method described on the Crackberry site (link below) to install Todoist for Android on your BB10 device.

WARNING: though this approach will likely work, we have to be willing to accept a few minor things:

(1) there may be some inconsistencies related to screen sizes and touch-screen interactions. They may be minor or they may make the app too hard to use. If this happens, it is no one's fault. It's just the nature of running Android apps on BlackBerry.

(2) We can't expect the Doist team to support any oddities that show up because we're running Android apps on the BlackBerry. If you encounter what appears to be a bug, you'll have to get another user who is on an actual Android device to verify it before asking the Doist team to investigate.

(3) Though this process requires the most minute amount of techie adventurism, don't attempt this if you need the tech to be extremely simple.

Here is the link to the instructions:

http://crackberry.com/how-get-android-apps-blackberry-amazon-appstore

The gist:

1) install the Amazon Appstore app on your BB10 device. The Amazon Appstore is like the BlackBerry AppWorld but for Android. It is an alternative to the Google Play store.

2) run this Amazon Appstore app on your BB10 device

3) using this app, search for (it's there, I just checked) and install the Todoist app

Et c'est tout.

Enjoy!

Hello,

Thank you for notifying BB10 community.

I have installed and used it, but it shows to login to google play store, but if i just press back button this screen does not appear.

Besides that app is working fine so far.

Kanak Shah

Please, BB10. This is a great OS that is undeniably the superb of what is out. I cannot and will not accept anything less than the QNX OS 10 and especially with the newer versions rolling out i.e., Z50, Passport, Classic etc. What will you do about this? What does BlackBerry have to do to prove to the WORLD that they are the best when it comes to Security and is best in Corporate world and Universities to say the least???

Another vote for a Blackberry 10 app...... the Android one is OKish but something built for Blackberry would be faster.

Got it working OK here on my Z10.

I downloaded it from the Snap app directory:
http://crackberry.com/how-use-snap-blackberry-1021-install-android-apk-files

Not all the features work but more than the basics are there...
