Completed tasks has 'Undefined' as project if the project is archived.

AS

Bug: Completed tasks has 'Undefined' as project if the project is archived.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Make a project.
2) Add a task to the project.
3) Complete the task.
4) Archive the project.
5) View completed tasks by clicking the karma button and selecting 'View all completed'.

I guess this is an easy fix?

Thanks Brendon for the quick reply!

I have a few other minor bugs that I've noticed. To you want me to post them here or do you prefer something else?

Andreas

Another bug I've noticed is in the Mac OS client: You can't reorder top-level projects that have sub-projects..

I think the reason is that the three lines to the left of the project title, that are normally use for dragging the projects around, are supposed to show up to the left of the arrow expanding the sub-project list (at least this is how it works on the website), but the margin of the project menu truncates everything to the left of the arrow which means that there is no way to grab the anchor and move the projects.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the jargon of UI design, but I hope you understand what I'm saying. :)

Thanks,
Andreas

Andreas,

Which version of OSX are you running? Have you tried logging out, clearing the cache for Safari, and logging back in?

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I'm running OS X Version 10.8.4. I have tried clearing the cache to no avail.

Here are some screenshots illustrating the problem. In screenshot 1 the drag-thingie is there allowing me to reorder the subproject. In screenshot 2 the arrow is stealing the show..

Hi,
The reported bug by Andreas Skielboe "Completed tasks has 'Undefined' as project if the project is archived" does still exist. When moving projects to the archive the tasks related to this projects gets ' undefined' as project. :-(

Is there already is solution coming up?
What happens when I archive my existing projects, will i be able to get the connection back to the original project?

Regards,
Daan

Daan,

You have reproduced this for more than just one project? And this is within the "View all completed" area?

Regards,
Brendon.

Yes,
1) I did tested it for 3 projects, same result.
2) I looked the tasks up through "View all completed".

Should it work in normal situation?

Cheers,
Daan

Daan,

I will let the developers know about it, but at the moment I believe it works for most people, it's quite a random issue.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
It sounds strange to me that it doesn't work me but it does for others.
Don't we all use the same codebase or version?

I really need to archive stuff - can you please inform me about a solution?

Thx.

Regards,
Daan

A different way to get "undefined" project (my situation):

- someone shared projects with me. It added their tasks to my views.
- I "leaved" their shared projects.
- Many (but not all it seems) of the tasks remained in my 7 day view but with project "Undefined".

BTW the reason I removed their shared tasks was because there was no way for me to tell my tasks (ones I made) from their shared tasks, causing me confusion.

Otherwise the sharing is good.
thanks
