adding e-mail as task in Chrome extension

Hello. I've added the Chrome extension so I can add my gmail e-mails as tasks, archive them in my gmail, and respond when planned. The problem is that when I click on the e-mail in my task list, it always prompts me to set up Outlook instead of going to the gmail e-mails. Is there a way to resolve this?

By the way, forwarding an e-mail to a project works when I want the e-mail to be a note. This is about adding e-mails by clicking add task instead of forwarding the e-mail to a project with a due date. I do that as well, but I thought maybe this way, it would link me right into the e-mail and eliminate having to search for it in my archived mail.

Hello Michele,

This issue can only happen if you have used our Outlook plugin in the past and added some emails through Outlook. I've just double-checked and mails added as tasks through Gmail using our Chrome plugin do contain the correct "gmail" link within them so please right-click on one of such tasks, go to edit mode and see if it contains "gmail" or "outlook" in it. If there is Outlook, then these can only be opened through our Outlook plugin.

Best regards,
