certificate error and other errors
I've started getting a security alert saying "The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site" when I'm in Outlook 10 on pc. When I view certificate, it says todoist on it.
I also am getting the following "Outlook Todoist has fired an exception. Click the details button to see the detailed information about the error.
+1 on the cert error. Let me know if there's any info needed to debug.
I don't know anything about debugging.

I installed the newest plugin to see if it would affect my issue. I uninstalled the old version, installed the new one. Now instead of just having a certificate issue, Todoist isn't showing up in Outlook at all. The Todoist panel has just disappeared entirely. Rebooting the system has no effect.
Sarcasm: on the plus side, at least I'm not getting the cert error.

To show it's being loaded by outlook, here it is in the Outlook Add-Ins menu:
On the add-ins screen you've shown on the second screenshot, please click on the "Go" button at the bottom and you'll see the same add-in list, but with check-boxes next to each add-in.
Check off the box next to "OutlookTodoist" and this should activate it.
Just to say that I was getting the problem also. I loadin the plug-in from the list above and all is fine with the outlook addin for the moment.
and the certificate issue has just reoccurred :(
Mine did too.
We've made some changes regarding the certificate right now. Please log out and back in and let us know if the issue persists.
I was getting the certificate message a couple of weeks ago, then it went away, and nowI just got the certificate message again.
I will pass this to the developers, but please confirm - does the issue persist after clearing IE's cache and cookies (the plugin always uses IE to connect)? In addition I have the same problem. I have 2 pc's win7
Both have outlook 2013
On one pc the todoist is working.
On the other I'm getting the cert issue. I Don't know what is causing it.

This is done after the last link you send of sept 4th.
When I push the button continue anyway (not reccomened) nothing changes or it is not doing anything.
Cleared SSL state and cleared coockies etc.
I can open the web based version page.
Please clarify - did you clear the SSL state and cache within IE? And do you have the latest version of IE installed?
I am still getting the invalid certificate message intermittently. I'm running IE10 and I'm using ToDist directly from the ToDoist web site.
We are very sorry for the issues. We are currently re-written our plugin and windows apps and hope to have an update soon.
