Hello dear support,
I usually send my new tasks through emails to my inbox. Once in my inbox I move each task to the project it belongs to.
I have a project that reached 400 tasks. Now when I move a task from my inbox to this project, it disappears from the inbox but doesn't appear in the project. I didn't realized it until I moved something like 50 or 100 tasks.
Do you have any clue on where I could find the tasks that have disappeared?
There's a limit to the amount of tasks you can have in a project (150 maximum, per project). No more tasks will be accepted for such project.
Please try to clear the browser's cache to see if it helps and also try to search for the names of these tasks or their properties (labels, dates) and let me know if you can find them.
When you move a task to a project, the project can receive up to 400 tasks and not 150.
Now, above 400, the new tasks disappear. So I need you to help me find the 100 tasks that have disappeared. When I search for the names, I can't find them.
I have just tried to create a new task, to move it to the project that has 400 tasks and then look for it. It doesn't either on the initial nor the destination folder.
I have passed this to the developers and as soon as I hear back from them I'll let you know.
Cool, thanks a lot !!!
As I've mentioned earlier, the limit is still indeed 150 tasks per project, if you would try to add task 151 through the web-interface, you would see an error message. It's possible that you've worked around this limitation when moving tasks, but according to the developers, these tasks are not gone and you should see them after you move, complete or delete some tasks from this big project.
In the future, we strongly recommend not to surpass the 150 task per project limit, we'll look into implementing a way to show this error message also when you try to move tasks. This limitation is there to ensure that you won't experience any technical issues and everything will work fine and stable across all platforms. You can break down big projects into sub-projects and have a total of 12,000 active tasks on your account.
Thanks a lot David for this answer. Ok, I will follow what you suggest. Have a good day.
