Plugin mail-links won't open via Outlook Exchange

I've got a problem using the Outlook plugin in MS Outlook 2010 with MS Exchange Accounts. Linked mails won't open most of the time. I've found out that this might be an issue with the Mail-IDs being changed by MS Exchange, so mails cannot be identified when such an automatic change of ID had occured. Is that correct? If so, could you please give me a note when that problem is faced resp. solved!? Thanks alot!

Hi Arne,

Yes this is a known issue that we have been working on. We do have an updated unreleased version that fixes this issue but have not released it due to other problems we have been working on.

Hi Brendon,

thanks for your quick respond. I followed your advise but unfortunately it did not help. Still links don't work - nothing happens by clicking on them. :-( That's quite a big problem for me since most of my tasks result from or are strongly related to emails and I cannot switch away from Exchange (which I am using both for private and business). But good to know you're working on it!

Arne,

Please walk me through this. You have an email, you create task with the email, then you move the email? Are you moving the email between email accounts (multiple exchange accounts) or just between folders? Or do you not do anything and it still does not happen?

This update should have resolved this issue, please try uninstalling the plugin, clearing the cache, and reinstalling. Also, confirm if it does this with new email, or just the old ones that are still not working?

Perfect. Well done again. Good fix. I was getting a little nervous as Todoist and Outlook integration and email-links are key to my day.

Brendon, I am a new ToDoist user and I also am having this problem. I create a task from an email using the Outlook add-in and it works fine until I "Archive" the email (move it to a different folder). If I archive it first and then create the task from the email it continues to work. That's not a good solution though, I just wanted to mention it so you'd better understand the cause. Any word on release time-frame for the fix?
