Push & SMS reminders not working

I've sent multiple test push and SMS reminders to my android phone running the todoist app and have not received anything.

Another thread recommended that I clear the cache, uninstall the app, delete the phone entry in the reminders screen and then reinstall. I've done all that and rebooted and logged in and out multiple times and I still don't receive anything. The phone shows up in the reminder screen as soon as it syncs after being installed and tasks sync perfectly.

What can I do?

Hello Akino,

Regarding SMS reminders, please make sure your number is added in this format: +123456789 - that is, with a plus at the front, country code and no spaces or dashes. As you edit it, choose "International" as your location and one of the Canadian hosts from the "Number to send from" drop-down menu.

As for push notifications, please make sure your phone is connected to the internet at the time a notification should arrive and you're not in a corporate network that may block such notifications.

Thanks David. Changing it to Canada worked. It seems that you should update your interface asap so that international numbers cannot select the USA number.

Regarding push notifications, they just suddenly started working.

I'm glad to hear that it works :)

Regarding the Canadian number - it's not a requirement as sometimes the US hosts works for international numbers as well so we prefer to leave all 3 options. We'll soon create a detailed help section which will include detailed information about such issues, though.
