Easier way to add sub tasks

JH

Is there an easier way to add sub tasks then the following method?

On the web as of 8/8/13 to add a sub task one has to do the following steps:
1) Add task
2) Go to the project for which the sub task was created
3) Find the sub task - always at the bottom
4) Place it under the parent task for which the sub task was created
5) Click on the task to edit
6) Move it over to make it a sub task

This is a particularly painful if you make an error and place it in the wrong project by mistake.

It's even worse on the Android app because you have no way of knowing under which parent task the sub task you just created was placed because there is no indent for sub tasks on Android.

This is my biggest frustrations with Todoist and is almost a deal breaker for me.

Hi Jae,

In terms of using the Quick Add button at the top of Todoist.com, unfortunately there is no quicker way of doing this as of now. We might consider changing this in future updates. Feel free to add it to our votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Though, if you click on one of your Projects, and right click on a task you will have the option to "add task below" which you can then quickly change the indent level of that task.

Thanks,
Brendon.

It would be nice to just be able to add subtasks in the edit feature of the main tasks. I would also love to see the subtasks in the edit window when I open it. It is almost a deal breaker. Sorry.

Hello,

If you edit a task, then you can hit Ctrl+Enter to save the changes and immediately have another input field below which you can indent with Ctrl+RightArrow and keep adding more sub-tasks.

Best regards,
David
