Bug: search for "todoist" yields tasks for today, not those containing "todoist"

AB

I understand, that I can search for "todoist" using "q:todoist". However, I still consider the above behavior a bug. Obviously, "todoist" is not "today".

Hello Alex,

If you search for a word without the "q: " syntax, our search function searches for many different variations of the word, parts of it, but also includes common shortcuts and in this case, it contains the shortcut "tod" which is short for "today".

We will consider changing this in the future, but for now, please use q: for detailed search of an exact match.

Best regards,
David

I don't have a choice, do I? ;)

I just want to reinforce the point that this is weird. I get "tod" as a shortcut for "today". I don't get the above behavior though.

You might want to consider adding this to the help.

Alex,

We will create a complete new help section for Todoist explaining everything in detail :)

Best regards,
