Timezone change is invalid.
My default timezone set is +8:00 Asia/Harbin, but I wanna change it to +8:00 Beijing.
I find change do not valid.
Is it a bug?
Could you please clarify what you mean by not valid? Do you see a message when you change the timezone in Todoist.com settings?
If you are using a mobile app as well, this setting needs to be changed on the device as well.
not valid = dont take effect.
I want to change timezone from +8:00 Asian/Harbin to +8:00 Beijing,
not mobile app, I do on the web.
To confirm, you click on the gear icon in the top right corner, choose Settings. On that page, under Timezone, you choose your new Timezone.
You close this, and refresh, and go back to the Settings page, and it's not accepted?
Please try logging out and clearing the cache for your browser.
yes, it is NOT accepted.
i click gear, click settings, click timezone, select +8:00 Beijing.
close settings float page, Ctrl +F5 refresh todoist page,
and the result is NOT change my timezone.
Please try logging out, and clearing the cache for your browser. Once this is done, try changing the timezone once again.
I follow your steps and also not worked.
log out and Clear cache and log in again.
I was confused...
I have just noticed that you are trying to change your Timezone from +8 to +8, and this is why it has not been accepting it. It's the same timezone, so the application does not accept it.
I would assume that "settings" like daylight savings are different between the two +8 timezones.
Cantona have you tried temporarily switching to a completey different timezone in between?
For example +8 Harbin -> +7 something -> +8 Beijing
+8 Harbin is same as +8 Beijing?
it make no sense
Time zones are usually split by 1 hour each (in some countries there are half-hour differences, though) and along a certain longitude, multiple places share the same time zone. Therefore, both these settings are, as it says, +8 so 8 hours in advance comparing to UTC, but for convenience, to make it easier to select your time zone, we've added city names to zones which are shared by multiple big cities.
For example, most of Europe shares one time zone so we've added +2 Berlin, +2 Paris, +2 Warsaw and so on for convenience and easy selection, but these are all cities in the same +2 zone.
Harbin and Beijing are in the same timezone, don't know why you need to change it - they the same effect on your task dates.
