Auto Refresh across platforms

Hello
I use Todoist on my Mac, iPhone & Chrome extension. One of my few frustrations is that when I make a change on one platform I need to refresh the other to see the changes. Is there an Auto Refresh setting somewhere?

Hello Ivan,

The mobile apps always auto-sync when you use them or make changes, but the web-based apps not (the web-version, our plugins etc.) and you'll have to reload them before you use them to make sure all changes are synced. There's a resync button in the bottom-right corner of the Mac app and Chrome extension for a quick sync.

Nonetheless, we will consider implementing a force-reload feature across all platforms in the future.

Best regards,
David

Thanks David
Should I create a votebox request for the force-reload feature?

Ivan,

You're welcome to add this suggestion to the Votebox, but we'll most likely implement it anyway :)

Best regards,
David

Please implement it soon. To us users this is a basic feature and for such an awesome piece of software it's shocking to not have it.

I've got Todoist on my tablet, iphone, outlook, and firefox.....I often have multiple of them on at a time and access them differently.

Thanks for building such an awesome product, let's make it even better!

I use Mac, PC, and IOS devices just as the OP. This is a must have when working cross-platform.

I am working mac (safari) to android smartphone. If I make a change or add something on the phone it doesn't necessarily get to the mac and if I do something on my mac it doesn't reflect on my phone. Yesterday I move a project to today and completed some today's email on my phone says they are all overdue.

Lyn,

Please make sure both apps are updated to the latest versions, there has been many updates recently, and I believe most syncing issues are resolved.

Though again, manual refresh is needed on desktop options as described by David.

Regards,
Brendon.

How do I know if I have the latest version on my smartphone? I can’t see where it says to check for updates. At this time I am using the basic version
Thank you

Thank you Brendon I do appear to have the latest on my laptop although I can't see on either that laptop or the smartphone where to check for updates.

Lyn,

If the Play Store is not showing an update for the App, then you do have the latest version. A logging out and clearing the cache for both app and browsers may help as well, if you are indeed having sync issues.

Brendon.
