understanding time zone?

U

Is it possible for me to enter a time zone for the target data and time and have todoist translate into my time zone? For example, I am in Central time zone, if i enter in the date/time box tomorrow at 1pm PDT, it should automatically place the event as tomorrow at 3PM CDT.

Hello Hao,

Thank you for contacting us. This is unfortunately not possible. In order for time zones to work correctly and dates and times being changed correctly, Todoist always auto-detects your location and system time and if there are any inconsistencies, you will see a message asking you if you want to adjust your time zone, please always agree as this way you won't encounter any time-zone related issues.

Nonetheless, we may consider adding a feature to set a certain "target zone" when adding tasks and you're welcome to add it as a feature request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Best regards,
David

There should be an option to NOT detect location.

I am finding tasks times not working correctly as they are changed to location I am traveling which is not what I want. I want the task to occur for the date and time I set regardless of where I am.
